alright, I'm not going to lie to you....
I'm finding it increasingly hard to blog lately..
I don't know why, no particualr reason stands out in my mind,
I have no answers...

I have yet to make my bloghome feel like "my space" so maybe that's the problem?
I dunno... it's all just flotsum and jetsum in my head not wanting to settle and make sense!

and I have a weekend to fill...school's out this afternoon for a weekend of... well I don't know actually.
I have a to to do list on my phone thats been getting longer and longer over the past couple of weeks, and even though I've managed to delete at least some tasks that have been accomplished I keep adding to it quicker than I can get rid of them.... so I guess the grown up thing to do is to set some time aside this weekend to actually get some of them done...

Now if you're wondering, and you're probably not, but I'm going to pretend you're feigning intrest anyway cos it makes ME feel better... my to do list goes something like this....

First of all I always make sure I start it off with something I've already done so that I can strike it off straight away... instant gratification!
Secondly, I don't fret if something doesnt get done..I just carry it over or add to it...which is no doubt why my never ending to do list is never actually finished and done with....
Thirdly...akh, who am I kidding...

The to do list currently on my phone goes ALOT like this

  • make pitta bread
  • make falafel
  • make garantita
  • make split pea soup
(yes I know they all involve eating...be quiet!)

  • sew velcro onto nappies
  • remember to send the 6 year old to the tutors this week!
  • have a conversation with a non-related adult who makes sense!
  • cut out some new clothes for fatima
  • SEW the new clothes for fatima
  • catch up with emails and PM's!
  • rescue the sardines from the freezer
  • make sticky lemon buns
  • clean the cooker
  • make maqroot for dh
  • finish those blasted crochet WIP's
  • make doughnuts
  • move to wordpress?
  • finish tidying the spare hellhole pit of doom that everyone keeps adding more junk to room
I'm aware that aside form wading through a room full of other peoples mess and sewing that there is nothing really labour intensive and stressful about my list..in fact looking at it again..most of it seems to involve food... that admittedly will be devoured within nano seconds of it being made by my never full and always hungry tribe...

and I know all the bits I don't like doing are followed by delights of a sticky and sweet nature but I feel it's as neccesary to follow up a less loved job with a treat as it is to follow a bad deed with a good deed...no you don't have to comment on this bit...it's true, try it..it WORKS!

I also have to admit that in Katesville...weekend can mean anytime between Thursday morning and Sunday night but I feel I can bend the rules of my own life a little ( yes I do know the weekend is Friday /Saturday but it's not long enough ok?)
Now all things being equal and going back to where I started...if I tackle at least some of my list this weekend I shouldn't have any trouble finding something to blog about next week should I?

I know you want to inderstand the gentle art of vecro sewing...and that you will be holding your collective breath until you see me spent and bereft of all excess energy from having slaved over a hot and borrowed sewing machine... be patient my lovlies...and lets see if  I can accomplish more than just sticky lemon buns and doughnuts...
