The icky pink hue you see above is the yarn that was purchased to make a certain 8yr old a school poncho.
I generally avoid all things pink but the 8yr old just had to have a poncho the same colour as her school apron...

And so for months I was in a pink poncho rut, uninspired and feeling woefully unloving towards the beast... the poncho that is, not the 8yr old...

Then Spring kind of came our way and it didn't seem so important to have a poncho to throw over the apron...
and well, we were in the mood for a bit of a pink re-purpose....

The inspiration came from this and it wasn't long before a pile of under appreciated pink yarn became something a little more bearable

and then not much longer still till it became one of these......

I'm concentrating on smaller projects, things that can give me the almost instant gratification I seem to crave when it comes to creating.....

and if you didn't think a use could be found for two random pink thingummy-bobs, well think again.... they're perfect as face scrubbies!

This week the project is a Yoga mat bag for dd20... yep I'm working on a project a week! pacing myself and being a grown up and actually finishing what I start!
The only trouble with the yoga mat bag is I'm working the pattern myself, so I'm going to have to be strict with myself... the frog potential is otherwise likely to be quite high....
