I have put alot of thought into blogging this week, ironic really when you consider I no longer have an internet connection.

It's given me space to put my thoughts into perspective and think about what I feel is important for me to share. Out of an inconvenience has come  an opportunity to step back and consider.

I used to be a person of thoughtful introspection, but with marriage and children and all the other things that found their way into my daily life I stopped putting so much time into me. I got crowded out and so did my thoughts. Somehow it all became about meals and cleaning and what everyone else had going on.

Consequently things might change a bit. I feel a shift occurring and I think I needed that. Bit by bit over the course of about a fortnight, all the things in my family's life that kept us all little aloof from Allah have gone. And we have far fewer distractions to divert our attention away from what should be the most important point of focus in our lives.

I'm still making dua that my connection gets sorted soon, it serves a useful purpose in our lives. Without it we lose our connection to the people who are important to us. But I'm also glad of a reason for some quiet time in our lives, and I'm taking my time to think about all the things I'll share when I'm back online again....

Just letting you know that you are sorely missed! I can totally identify with the bit about taking care of oneself.
